Educated as a material designer, Carmen was introduced to the fascinating world of contemporary jewellery at an early stage during her studies. By researching and documenting material’s specific properties and beauty, she started looking at conventional uses differently.

 

This blurred the line between a material and its use. The material experiments became jewels, small works of art.
