Traces

A Collaboration between Photographer Mitch van Schijndel and Carmen Vollebergh.

In this photo series, they let themselves be guided by the moment: the way the light fell, the movement of a piece of jewellery, and the shapes suggested by shadows. The result is a dialogue between object and image, matter and light.

Throughout the process, they experiment with materials, natural light and coincidence. The jewellery is displayed, questioned and reinterpreted through the lens of the camera.

Material experiments do show us other sides of a material.

The design of the jewellery is based on the use of raw material. This is often seen as onorthodox but is carefully chosen following to the material’s properties.

The most important reason for Carmen using a material, is to create designs that catch the eye and have a timeless appearance. Therefor all pieces are made of recyclable materials, ungendered and non-seasonal.

More about Carmen Vollebergh

One of a kind jewellery that complement a minimal style.

What makes the material so special is its appearance, which is different in every casting. Therefor all pieces are original.

The piece you see only exists in its specific size. We prefer to custom-make your piece. In most cases it is possible to make a similar looking piece.

This custom way of working not only guarantees exclusivity. It also allows for more freedom with regard to creativity and customer desires.
